What’s the difference between Semaglutide and Tirzepatide? Both Semaglutide and Tirzepatide are effective medications for weight loss. Semaglutide, known under the brand names Ozempic and Wegovy, is a GLP-1 receptor agonist that slows digestion, helping you feel fuller longer. It typically results in an average of 15% total body weight loss over 12 weeks. Tirzepatide, marketed as Mounjaro and Zepbound, works on both GLP-1 and GIP receptors. It not only slows digestion but also prevents fat/glycogen formation, leading to an average of 21% total body weight loss over 12 weeks.
-
How do I know which medication is best for me?Several factors come into play, but cost and the amount of desired weight loss are key considerations. Generally, if you aim to lose 20-40 pounds, Semaglutide is likely sufficient. For those looking to lose 40+ pounds, Tirzepatide might be the better option.
-
How often do I take this medication? Both Semaglutide and Tirzepatide are administered as once-weekly injections. We typically recommend starting on a Wednesday or Thursday.
-
Do I have to inject myself? I’m not a nurse! The injections use tiny 25-27 gauge, 0.5” needles that are almost painless. They are so small, you’ll hardly notice them!
-
Where do I inject myself? The injection goes into the subcutaneous layer of the skin, usually in the belly area.
-
Do I need to switch the injection site each time? Not necessarily. Since it's a once-weekly injection, rotating between the lower left and right sides of the belly is good practice, but not mandatory.
-
What’s the biggest risk associated with these injections? The most common risk is local redness, irritation, or itching at the injection site, although none of my clients have experienced this. You will receive alcohol wipes to cleanse the skin before each injection.
-
Do I have to stick with the same medication the whole time? No, this program is tailored to your needs. Many clients start with Semaglutide and later switch to Tirzepatide, or vice versa, depending on their progress and preferences.
-
What are the most common side effects?Common side effects include constipation, fatigue, nausea, headache, dizziness, and loss of appetite.
-
How can I prevent these side effects?Eat! Prioritize protein snacks such as Greek yogurt, beef jerky, cheese, trail mix, tuna, or hardboiled eggs. Drink! Hydration is key. Many side effects like constipation, headaches, fatigue, and dizziness are often due to dehydration. B Vitamins: Our medications are compounded with B6 to help with nausea, but you can supplement with B6, B12, or a B complex vitamin to support energy and well-being. Note: Many individuals who experience side effects with Semaglutide tolerate Tirzepatide better, although the reason isn’t entirely clear.
-
Do I have to stay on this medication forever? No, the goal is to reach your target weight and then gradually taper off, either completely or to a maintenance dose every 10-14+ days.
-
If I stop taking the medication, will I regain the weight? That depends on you. The weight won’t return automatically, but hunger cues will. It’s essential to continue practicing healthy habits, such as mindful eating and portion control, once you stop the medication.
-
Who is NOT a candidate for Semaglutide/Tirzepatide?Individuals aged 15-18 without parental consent and clearance from a pediatrician. Those with a BMI less than 23. History of pancreatitis. History of Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes. History of kidney disease. Personal or family history of Medullary Thyroid Carcinoma. History of multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2). Those who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

What aesthetic treatments do you offer? We provide a range of treatments, including: Neurotoxin injections for wrinkle reduction Dermal fillers for volume restoration Skin rejuvenation therapies (microneedling, chemical peels, etc.)
-
How long do neurotoxins and fillers last?Neurotoxins: Results last 3-4 months on average. Dermal Fillers: Depending on the product and treatment area, results can last 6-18 months.
-
Do Neurotoxins and Dermal Fillers hurt? The needles used are extremely fine, and discomfort is minimal. Most clients describe it as a quick pinch.
-
What should I do to prepare for my appointment?Avoid alcohol, aspirin, and ibuprofen for 24-48 hours before your appointment to reduce bruising. Come with clean, makeup-free skin.
-
What should I avoid after neurotoxins or fillers?Avoid lying down or strenuous exercise for 4-6 hours after Botox. For fillers, avoid applying pressure to the area, excessive heat, or alcohol for 24 hours.
-
What is PCDC (Liquid Lipo)?PCDC is a non-surgical fat reduction treatment using an injectable solution (Phosphatidylcholine Deoxycholate) that targets and breaks down stubborn fat deposits in specific areas of the body.
-
How does PCDC work? The PCDC solution is injected into targeted fat pockets, where it disrupts the fat cell membranes. The body then naturally metabolizes and eliminates the destroyed fat cells over time.
-
What areas can PCDC treat?Common treatment areas include: Chin (double chin) Abdomen Flanks (love handles) Thighs Upper arms
-
Is there downtime after PCDC?There may be some mild swelling, redness, or tenderness at the injection site, which typically subsides within a few days. Most clients can resume normal activities immediately.
-
How many sessions of PCDC will I need? Most clients require 2-4 sessions spaced several weeks apart for optimal results. The exact number depends on the treatment area and individual goals.
-
When will I see results from PCDC?Results become noticeable within 4-6 weeks after treatment, with continued improvement as the body processes and eliminates fat cells.
-
Is PCDC permanent?Yes, PCDC permanently destroys fat cells in the treated area. However, maintaining a healthy lifestyle is important to prevent new fat deposits from forming.
-
Are there side effects with PCDC?Side effects are generally mild and may include swelling, bruising, or tenderness at the injection site. These effects are temporary and usually resolve within a few days.
